RAISE THE CURTAIN CAMPAIGN
The Dream Theatre is currently raising funds for the RAISE THE CURTAIN CAMPAIGN. All monies raised will go towards purchasing new theatrical curtains and other improvements.
The current theatrical curtains are the original curtains that were installed in 1949. The curtains are worn, torn, and the flame retardant treatment has dissipated from the fabric. The theater would like to replace all the theatrical curtains and upgrade the stage lighting to provide better lighting for other events that take place at the theater.
This project is projected to cost over $50,000. The theater has been awarded a Dane G. Hansen grant for the project, sold some unused tax credits, had a raffle and a couple other event fundraisers, received a couple of individual memorials, sold Dream Theatre t-shirts and continue with the "Name That Chair" fundraiser. The Dream Theatre is getting closer to reaching its goal everyday, but still needs the community's help.
The Dream Theatre is a 501 (C)(3) nonprofit organization that oversees the day to day operations of the theater. Donations MAY BE tax deductible, consult with a tax advisor.
